Altec Lansing Subwoofer: The BB2001
It's really a challenge to produce portable speaker systems that can fit into a suitcase. Most of the
available speakers of this size just don't make the cut in producing real bass. That means travelers
are used to not getting the full range of possible audio while on the go.
However when these traveler's get home, they expect audio that can blow you away and nothing
less. What happens is that they often purchase a separate subwoofer for travel and another more
powerful one for home use. That is until the Altec Lansing BB2001 Subwoofer came into the
picture.
If you're an owner of Altec Lansing's inMotion iM5, iMX2 and iMT1 or the XT2 Laptop audio
system, or any of the later Altec Lansing speaker systems that have a subwoofer-out jack then the
BB2001 is for you. It enhances the response of the speaker systems to let you hear even lower
frequencies for really stunning bass.
The BB2001 has its own power supply and plugs into a standard power outlet. It includes a 9.5
cable to let you have more freedom in placing the subwoofer. It also has its own volume control to
so you can adjust it to match the portable system. After you set it, it will automatically scale to the
volume of level of your speaker system.
